FAQ

Common questions

Is PropXpert free?
Yes. Sold prices, EPC ratings, the local housing mix, who lives in an area and local risk are free to read for every postcode area in England and Wales — no account needed.
What data does PropXpert cover?
Sold prices and £/sqm for houses and flats, EPC ratings, council-tax bands and build periods, demographics (tenure, income, occupation, qualifications) and local risk such as flood, crime, broadband and air quality — for every postcode outcode in England and Wales.
Where does the data come from?
Public open data: HM Land Registry Price Paid, EPC certificates, the VOA council-tax list, the 2021 Census and ONS, the Environment Agency, Ofcom and DEFRA. Every figure is dated and sourced.
How often is the data updated?
The underlying datasets are rebuilt monthly, and every area page shows the build date so you can see exactly how current the figures are.
Do I need an account to see an area?
No. Area and postcode-level pages are free to read without signing up. An account is only needed to save areas and for the upcoming property-level reports.
